From the recording If You're in Heaven

I was so inspired by reading Kurt Cobain's "Journals" that I wrote this song as a prayer to him. Like everyone else, I loved Nirvana but reading Journals made me love Kurt as a soul and heightened my interest in his music. I truly believe he was a creative genius and the "pied piper of compassion" and I feel blessed to have been on the planet at the same time as him.

Lyrics

If you're in heaven, please help me succeed and help me to do what I'm supposed to

If you're in heaven, please help me to read the signs directing me to my dreams

CHORUS 1:
And I, I said before that I don't know where to go
So I, I look to you 'cause I'm confused about my role

So if you're in heaven and you can hear me, will you help lead me to where I should be

If you're in heaven, will you help show me the piece I'm missing, perhaps it's faith I need

CHORUS 2:
And I, I'll say once more that I don't know where to go
So I, I'm asking you 'cause I'm confused about my role and I can't let this go

So if you're in heaven, please help me succeed and help me to do what I'm supposed to
